Friends don’t let friends do HTiB - not when there are affordable options for a complete home theater speaker system. I recently did a review of the Classic Two speaker system by NHT for Audioholics.com. Based out of California, NHT has become a leading speaker manufacturer in the US. It produces high end options, but also more affordable speaker systems that dip into mainstream price ranges. Overall, they’re good products at comfortable prices.
Technically the speakers in the Classic Two system are ‘budget’ speakers, at least for NHT. Personally I wouldn’t call a $2,000 bookshelf speaker system 'budget', but NHT attracts a lot of serious hi-fi enthusiasts with their higher end lines.

The Majestic Diamonds were introduced in late October to the world in Rome, Italy at the Roma Hi-End (Audio) Show 2006. Mr. Gerardo Ventura, owner of Audio Azimuth, demonstrated the tiny speakers at the show and “received many comments saying that the [Majestic Diamond] sound presentation was one of the best of the show.”

Mr. Eric LoBue, audioreview.com, writes: [The Majestic Diamonds] “produce that rich, detailed sound audiophiles know and lust after. Instruments and voices are well articulated with good separation. Music jumps out of the speakers with enthusiasm while maintaining its integrity.” Mr. LoBue continues: “I would like to see this technology [ETL] get picked up by those large manufacturers of “home theater speaker system in the box” and portable boom box type systems.” The tiny size and astounding clarity of the Majestic Diamonds are especially suited for the flat TV. The Majestic Diamonds can be located behind the TV screen. No other speaker manufacturer can make this claim.

Add 5.1-channel surround sound to your entertainment center with the Pioneer SFCRW240LS home theater speaker system, which can provide up to 600 watts of total power output from your stereo system. The small, compact design blends into the room, delivering plenty of sound without taking up too much space. It includes an 8-inch, 100-watt powered subwoofer and five satellite speakers (one center channel, two rear, and two front)--each capable of 100 watts of power. The center channel and rear surround speakers feature a 1-way design with 3-inch mid-range drivers, while the front surround speakers have a 2-way design with 3/4-inch tweeters and 3-inch mid-range drivers. The speakers are magnetically shielded to help prevent interference from your TV, enabling you to place them close to the entertainment source.
